OrniNotes is built around local storage. Observations, species, habitats, groups, families, and related metadata are primarily stored on your device.
Permissions used by the app
- Location: used to propose coordinates, municipality, and nearby map-based information when creating or viewing observations.
- Photo library and file access: used when you choose images for species or habitats.
Third-party services
Some app features may rely on device services or external resources, such as system location services, reverse geocoding, or online map tiles. When those features are used, your device may communicate with those services to deliver the requested functionality.
Tracking and advertising
OrniNotes is not designed as an advertising platform and does not require account-based tracking for the main app experience.
Your control
- You can edit or delete local app content from inside the app.
- You can manage local app content directly from the app.
- You can manage device permissions from the system settings of your device.
